Do you need a Tutor during Quarantine?

Gabrielle Crichlow is the owner and director of A Step Ahead Tutoring Services. She has a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, which she earned from St. John's University in 2015. Prior to that, she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Temple University in 2009. Gabrielle brings a wealth of academic excellence as well as a proven record of tutoring. She began tutoring at an after-school program and at a foster care agency while attending Temple University. She then brought her talents to several Supplemental Education Services providers. Seeing the academic struggles of low-income and middle-income families, Gabrielle realized that they deserved more than the limited services these providers offered to them. It was in this moment that a light bulb went off - "I'll start my own company!" Her experiences in college (and even graduate school) provided Gabrielle with the insight that she needed to excel at and enjoy tutoring, and also inspire other tutors to do the same. She founded A Step Ahead Tutoring Services, Inc. on October 9, 2013 and has operated it ever since. Gabrielle's life goals are to become a full-time entrepreneur and to make community resources more accessible to populations in need.

Gabrielle and her tutors pride themselves in offering online services to all child and adult students nationwide. They provide 1-on-1 tutoring, test prep, college counseling, graduate school counseling, and editing/proofreading services from the convenience of a laptop, computer, tablet, or phone. They've provided these services for only a couple years and have received rave reviews. While in-home services make up for most of the company's sales, online services are making their way up there due to the effects of COVID-19.
