Values are basic and fundamental beliefs that guide or motivate attitudes or actions. They help us to determine what is important to us. Values in a narrow sense is that which is good, desirable, or worthwhile. Values are the motive behind purposeful action. They are the ends to which we act and come in many forms.
Core Values are the root beliefs that a person or organization operates from. They are the principle perspectives that guide a person or organization’s behavior with others.
Some core values are dependability, reliability, loyalty, commitment, open-mindedness, consistency, honesty and efficiency.
In order to propel in life, I stated before that we must have the ability to tap into our natural traits and abilities and push past obstacles.
We thrive to be honest at our core. We do what we say we are going to do. My core values lend to me being reliable and consistent sprinkled with honesty.
Think about what your foundation is built on. What are your core values and how does it positively impact your day to day interactions. Do you show up in the fullest version of yourself? Do you squinge at the site of challenges. If you have commitment as part of your core values, it becomes easier to meet challenges. You show up 100% committed and willing to push through an obstacle.
